Maintaining and Extending the Lifespan of Your Gear:

Maintaining and Extending the Lifespan of Your Gear: Take care of your skateboard and accessories to maximize their lifespan. Regularly clean and inspect your equipment, tighten bolts, and replace worn-out parts. Proper maintenance ensures optimal performance and safety.

Putting On Grip Tape:

  1. Place your deck upside down on a clean surface.
  2. Peel the backing off the grip tape and align it with the deck's edge.
  3. Press down from the center outwards to stick the tape, smoothing out air bubbles.
  4. Trim excess grip tape around the edges using a razor blade or skateboard tool.
  5. Use the edge of the skateboard tool to score along the deck's edge, then fold the excess grip tape over.

Taking Off Wheels:

  1. Flip the skateboard upside down.
  2. Use a skateboard tool to unscrew the nuts holding the wheels in place.
  3. Gently pull the wheels off the trucks' axles.

Changing Bearings:

  1. Remove the wheels following the steps above.
  2. Use a bearing tool or a truck axle to pop out the old bearings from the wheel.
  3. Place new bearings in the wheel's center.
  4. Press down evenly until the bearings are fully seated.
  5. Reattach the wheels.

Tightening Trucks:

  1. Flip the skateboard right-side up.
  2. Use a skateboard tool to adjust the kingpin nut on the truck. Turn clockwise to tighten, counterclockwise to loosen.
  3. Find the right tension - trucks should be snug but not too tight for smooth turns.
  4. Check all nuts and bolts on the deck and trucks to ensure they're secure.

Regular maintenance ensures peak performance and safety, enhancing your skateboarding experience.
